In its second installment, Of Rice and Roots has grown to become our biggest event of any year, bringing together 6 UBC Southeast Asian Student associations (the Vietnamese Students Society, the Thai Aiyara Club, the Singapore Students’ Association, the UBC Philippines Studies Series, the Seri Malaysia Club and the Gado-Gado Indonesian Students Association of UBC), the 5 ASEAN Consulates-General in Vancouver (Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, Malaysian and Indonesian) as well as the UBC Centre for Southeast Asia Research in a celebration of Southeast Asian food and culture.
Come and eat with us, and at the same time get to know more about our dynamic and diverse corner of the world!
The event will be held in the UBC Student Union Building Ballroom (nearest parkade at North Parkade) at 6pm on Tuesday January 20th 2015.
